NEW US Issue haversack, made by K. Windahl & Co. This haversack is made from pre-painted cloth and then sewn together unlike other haversacks that were painted after construction. This was an increasingly common method of making haversacks as the war progressed, and this haversack also features a double bar buckle instead of a roller buckle which eliminates the need for a leather keeper and uses less leather for the buckle strap. Bag ships with the inner bag (not pictured).
